There are a few things I want, but cannot have because they are not made, but not because they cannot be made. I will blog about them here, in the vain and foolish hope that some enterprising soul will decide that these things should be made (and perhaps, having made them and found their manufacture profitable, in their gratitude give me an exemplar).
The first is a proper rugged phone, which will survive the rigours of my pocket and occasional dunkings in coffee, seawater or sewage, rescued by a quick rinse under the tap.
Then a folding, electrically-assisted cargo bike: the ingenuity and rideability of a Brompton, with the ability to carry say 100kg of cargo and a range of say 100km.
Then some good hardwearing trousers that have enough pockets and won’t give out at the knee.
More desiderata will follow.
